Melissa Baldwin has 18 years of experience communicating clean energy solutions to the global climate crisis.
Melissa specializes in media relations, public affairs and energy policy. Baldwin founded Chase Media Services, LLC, a public relations consultancy focused on sustainability in 2011. Chase Media served clients in the energy and environmental sector, including Waste Management, Sustainable Florida, and The Union of Concerned Scientists. After ten years in business, Chase Media was acquired by Tigercomm in 2021.
Previously, Melissa worked for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Florida Conservation Voters, the Environmental PR Group and Hill + Knowlton Strategies. Melissa served as the Tampa Bay regional press secretary for For Our Future Fund in 2016 and the deputy communications director for NextGen Political Action Committee in 2014. In 2006, Tampa Bay Business Journal named Melissa a Top “30 Under 30” young professional. Melissa’s passion for climate change dates back to college, where she interned at the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School. Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Boston University in 2004.
