A few key points from this excellent new video, launched today by Pew’s Clean Energy Program:
- Combined heat and power (CHP) technologies kept the lights on during Hurricane Sandy.
- Doubling electricity produced by CHP could result in more than $200 billion in investments and could create up to 1 million highly skilled jobs.
- Today, nearly two thirds of the fuel used to generate power escapes as waste heat. In contrast, CHP technologies are more than twice as efficient.
